Donald's Story
Before coming to the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center my life consisted heavily of drinking and doing cocaine. My life was out of control and I was leading myself to my own destruction. I ended up losing my job, family, and practically everything important to me. It came to the point where I was doing anything I could to keep my habits going. Finally, my children saved my life and told me about the Salvation Army.
On February 21st, 2012, I entered the program at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Flint, MI. While in the program, I was taught how to be a productive member of society again, thanks to the Work Therapy aspect of the program. I also attended several classes, which taught me how to remain sober.
On August 19th, I graduated from the program. Today, I am rebuilding my relationship with my children. My life is finally back on track and I owe it all to the Salvation Army.
